Tytronics (formerly Technical Components Pty Ltd) was formed in 1981 to take over and operate the Industrial Products Group of Philips Industries Ltd, a well-established supplier of electronics products in the Australian market. Tytronics is a member of the Tyree Holdings Group, which was established by Sir William Tyree in 1945.
Tytronics is a specialist in gas re-ignition, and over the years has secured a number of patents. We continue to invest in new product development and innovation, and have several new patents pending. Tytronics also manufactures controls for the HVAC industry, with special interest in the evaporative air-conditioning market.
In December 2003, Tytronics merged with another South Australian Company, Tekelek, which was established in 1987. Tekelek is a specialist in the design & supply of electronic controls to the HVAC industry. Tekelek was the first in Australia to develop and produce electronic controls for evaporative air-conditioners.
